In a breakthrough asbestos case in 2013, Samuel won a $3.8 million verdict on behalf of his clients against an asbestos company, a boiler equipment manufacturer. The award, one of the first multimillion-dollar asbestos verdicts in New York in decades, was later upheld in appeals court.
